I've been an avid user of MC for a few years now--it's unparalleled for music management.  I'm in the process of setting up a DVR with my PC for over the air HD, and am wondering if MC14 is up to the task.  I don't have a compatible tuner card yet, so I can't really play with it in the app.  Can MC14 do the following?

• Pause and rewind live TV?
• Skip commercials?
• Schedule recordings of individual shows using some kind of program guide (i.e. Name based recordings and not time based recording)?
• Record all instances of a show (e.g. record all new episodes of Lost)?
• Browse and playback previous recordings?
• Do Picture in Picture using two HD tuners?

Basically I'm looking for the same kind of capabilities SageTV has, but I'd rather use MC so that I only have to deal with one app on my HTPC.

It doesn't do picture in picture, but it can manage more than one tuner, recording one channel and playing another.

Skip commercials is done with the right arrow key, skipping 30 seconds with each press.

The USB tuners work well.  Pinnacle brand, now owned by Hauppauge is a good one.  They retail for $70 in the US.
