Sound Problem

I’ve got MC13 running on Vista Home Premium.  I’ve got some .MKV files (which I know is a container but, that’s about it.)  They used to play on this box but now the sound stutters.  Where/how would I begin to troubleshoot this problem?
Files came from Vuze if that helps.

Try changing the DirectShow filters.  There is a DS article on our wiki (link above).
