Does Media Jukebox 8 currently support AAC coding?  If not, when will these feature be available?  It seems that for the same amount of space, an AAC file sounds superior to mp3.  Any thoughts?  (http://www.aac-audio.com/)

I seem to remember that this was discussed some time back and that the licensing costs are pretty steep.

Evaluating encoding options I came across a site http://www.inf.ufpr.br/~rja00/aac.html which has some aac encoders/decoders. I understand the Psytel encoder is a commercial product. The encoder works as an external encoder in Media Jukebox as it is command line driven. The winamp decoder plugin should work as well by copying into the plugins directory.

You can find Psytel at  http://www.psytel-research.co.yu
