Hi,

This question has probably been asked several times in other posts but I cannot really find a good answer.
Maybe someone can point me in the right direction.
First my setup:

- All audio/video files are located on a NAS.
- Theatre room PC running MC14 connected to a projector and audio system.
- Sun room PC running MC14 connected to 2 TV and several audio systems serving audio/video for the sun, living, dining room and patio.

What I would like to do is. Play a concert in the theater room and be able stream this to the other MC so it plays on the other TV's and audio systems.

Thanks
Marcel

You could play to the other PC if you set it up as a DLNA Renderer.

Start here:

Hi Jim,

As suggested I'm trying the DLNA function. I have set it up as described in the instructions.
The server doesn't show up under playing now and I'm getting error messages in the DLNA window

SSDP request for service type:urn:schemas-upnp-org:device:InternetGatewayDevice:1;Responses 0; Interface: 192.168.1.3
SSDP request for service type not found urn:schemas-upnp-org:device:InternetGatewayDevice:1

Any advice.

Thanks

Try checking all 3 DLNA features on both machines.

Could also be firewall issues. On the server make sure MC is listed as an exception...

Ok it seems to be working. It was a firewall issue. The only thing is that it seems to be skipping back and forward in the song on the remote MC.
Difficult for me to check since I'm out of the country and I'm setting this up remotely.

Will check when I get back in town.

thanks for all the help so far.

Ok I'm back in town checked everything and it works. It is a bit fragile but if i start everything in the right sequence, It plays without issues.
Next thing is how to use netremote to control this. I connect to media bridge on the Mediaserver and switch to the mediaplayer zone. I can switch songs but cannot change volume and won't get feedback on progress of the song.
