Binding mouse wheel to seek instead of zoom. Is it possible?
« on: September 20, 2009, 06:06:44 am »

Hey everybody.

I am trying to bind the mouse wheel behaviour to seek instead of zooming. I also tried with Custom Resources/Resource.xml but without succes. I can bind seek to keys but not to mouse wheel.

Help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

At the bottom of the image preview window uncheck "Zoom on mouse wheel"

It works for images, but what I would like to be able to do is seek in a video (skip backward or forward of N seconds) with the mouse wheel. Do you think is this possible?

Thanks for your attention.

I'd guess there's not currently an option or anything to do this. Have you looked at binding it to the playback speed via custom resources? I'm not familiar enough to know if that'll work, but it's worth looking at if you haven't. It's not the same, but it would be close. (playback speed might not work for video either... :-\)

Being able to use the mouse wheel as a scrubbing tool control seems like a pretty handy feature in my book. It's not useful for everybody certainly, but then what is?
