Matt
I may give you a big laugh to start the week with my idea, cause i do not know if it is feasible[?]
It is concerning to rip fast on lossless format and to convert over night,or over day when at work
The main problem is the space on the hard drive if you want to rip 10-15-20 cds on APE to convert them latter

So,there is any way to get lossless format smaller than APE?
The sound good or not,is not the problem.Let say that to be playable or not of no importance.Just it has to be convertable

If all of it possible,a nice feature for Media Jukebox.
And of cause this format NOT open source-a JRiver protected format

Hey zevele10,

There's no doubt that lossless audio codecs will continue to improve, but don't expect any huge jumps in compression.  At least when I'm playing around, I'm thrilled if I can figure out how to shave a half a percent off the compression ratio.

Maybe somebody else will develop a technology to prove me wrong though...

Take care.
