EQdb 3.0.0 Released
« on: September 26, 2009, 01:44:02 pm »

OK, so I get the email from JRiver saying MC14 is stable, so I log in to download it.  I decide to check out the forums, and see there's some people who won't leave me alone ;D about the EQdb plugin that hasn't worked since MC12.

So I fixed it.  It just needed a registry update.  It actually took me longer to remember how to upload it to sourceforge  :)

In any case, it's available from the mcplugins site, see my signature for the link.

Thanks - I can add back in my "Sibilance Correction" for those poorly recorded tracks with hissssssing vocals - unfortunatly looks like nothing can save Lily Allen from sounding like a snake in "22"!

EDIT - FYI also works using WASAPI which I found interesting!

I must have forgotten how to use this correctly because nothing I try seems to be working as I remember it.  Anyone care to share any clues on how to use this?

You have the database field EQ?  Plugin running from Plugin Manager?  Things playing in Playing Now?  Adjustments to DSP (saved to database)?

I set up everything the same way I did before; install, set up the EQ field, add to PN, change EQ settings, remove from PN, and repeat.  The thing is that there are no settings being applied to the EQ field, which was not the case with MC12.

In order to store the current EQ setting you must press the "Save" or "Save To Playlist" button in the plugin's control panel.

In the attached screenshot I am using the Split View feature so that I can see the EQdb plugin and the Playing Now list simultaneously. You can add the EQ column to the list pane and monitor the field value changes.
