Theater View skins
« on: October 01, 2009, 08:36:16 pm »

I have asked about 3 times about the theater skins in MC14 and I am not getting any answers.

Is there a bug in the Noire and Acajou skins or is there a problem my end?

I dont have a play button.

Thank you

I find my Play command on the second roller.

It would help a great deal if you tell us what version of MC you're using, and what kind of Theater View you are using.

What version of MC 14. And you're using roller based skins or the touch screen based, left menu oriented skins?

I am using 140071

Not sure about the rest of the questions.

I thought that Acajou was just as is I haven't done anything else to them

I think roller based.

Cheers

I can't say for sure what the problem is. It's there for me, though I use build 73.

Be sure you select a video (or a music track) and hit enter. This should bring you a big info view of the file, and switch focus to the second roller. On this roller you have Back, Play, User selectable play method (changes after you select something in the More play options), More play options etc. Either the play or the More Play options should work.

older skins dont work anymore. there has been some threads about it in the past, they are not taken away for some reason i forgot. when you want the vertical roller at the start use obsidean touchscreen. there are not much new thv skins, altough i saw one of Mr Criz on the skins etc forum. my guess is that slowly but surely more skins will come available. the way thv works now is fairly new.

It's not out yet, but it will in a few days I think.

I tested the Acajou skin, and you're right. No play option. It's the old kind of skin type (Acajou and Noire), which have been pretty much replaced by the Obsidian, Glass and Hairstyle skins. I'd recommend you use those instead. You find them under Options, Theater View, Appearance, Skin.

As most users use the Roller based skin (you'll notice what rollers are when you test the Obsidian skin), something have probably gotten screwed up for the old type of skins, or they have yet to include some new functions in the Acajou and Noire skins.

Anyway you'll loose much functionality if you continue to use the old skins I'm afraid.
