adapting an old thv skin to mc 14
« on: October 11, 2009, 06:02:16 am »

i thought i give it a try. curious to how the vertical scroller would work when used everywhere in the program.
this is done with the ajacou skin. the result can be seen here:  http://pix01.com/uf@vTQC
the place and the size of the vertical scroll bars can be changed inside the code of the main xml.
the file is here: http://www.gappie.nl/fotos/AcajouV14.zip

place the folder inside this zip file besides the other skins in C:\Program Files\J River\Media Center 14\Skins\Theater View

i took the cubes away since they do not really work anymore.
when some things are not working right yet. just post. also other questions etc.

Hi Gappy,

Thank you so much that is great.

We got so fed up of the other as every time you went up to the top to play if you went to far the display went back.

All I need now is to find out why my cover art disappears and I will be ecstatic lol

Cheers

indeed with a mouse it works very nicely. i expect with a touchscreen it would also work great. with a remote and keyboard it is a bit confusing though..

Hi Gappie,

My new theater skin is great.

When choosing a movie is there some way to stop it going back to the list when going to the left of the screen with the mouse?

What happens is when a movie is chosen so that you do not get sent back you have to traverse up the middle then to the left to the play button otherwise as I said if you accidentally go to the left of the screen it goes back to the list.

Cheers

no, you can not stop that. it behaves the same with all skins, except with the standard skin it happens when you go to the top. it indeed feels a bit jumpy when you use a mouse and comes there. mc is still working on thv, so it could be that it is on the list.

Hi Gappie,

Since the new upgrades on MC we have come across a small problem and I was hoping that you would be so kind as to take a look.

When we are browsing through the movies the slider bar is almost invisible to start but ok after we click on it but the slider also only goes down as far as B in the alphabet.

Cheers  :(

ah.. i see. i always have the scrollbar disabled, but the same happens in the obsidian skin, so i think there is a bug in mc. will take a longer look later.
