when i goto theaterview images. it is defaulted to keywords. when i try to go to albums ratings shortcuts etc.. it doesnt go anywhere and only way to get anywhere is to do a cntl alt delete which then closes down jriver.

Any suggestions? does the log log errors in theaterview?
i have relatives coming over this weekend and would love to show off theaterview if i can get this lockup issue fixed.  ?

Is this the library with 800,000 images?

Theater View may not scale to that many images as well as Standard View.  You might need to try a smaller number like 100,000.

how does one scale to smaller amount? then they wouldnt be available in standard view?  is this something your working on? caus ei would like to be able to view them all.

i had over 800,000 but took them out due to them being photoshop files and having probs.. so my personal pics = 410,000 and would like fo rthose to all show up. TY

only have 4 gigs memory.. would it help to get larger memory? is it a memory issue?

how about this.. is it possible when i go into theaterview and chose images for it to start on albums instead of keywords? that way jriver wont try to load all keywords and it will load albums right away (being my albums are smaller then keywords) it may make it more responsive for me.. ive loked in theaterview options but cant seem to get it to start on albums.. it always starts on keywords.

aww hello?  i have bought almost every version of your guys's. love the proggy but would really like to know if this is something that is going to be worked out.. or if I need a stronger computer, or how i go about fixen this?!

matt - jriver.. can anyone let me know if this is a jriver or comp issue? If JRiver is this going to be sorted out in the future?)(If comp issue what do you suggest i  need to buy? more ram?)

  i'd like to get this fixed!  these 400,000 images are personal pics, and also images i use on hdtv as picture frame (slideshow) for parties and they are all sorted in categories (hallowwen parties, christmas parties, birthday, new years etc..). so would love for all these pics to show up.

I'm able to browse a 600,000 track audio library in Theater View, but it's not what I'd call fun.

If you're bogging out, you'll either need a smaller library or stronger CPU.

It's possible future versions (i.e. v15) will make improvements in this area, but we're talking about huge numbers in 3D accelerated views.

ok out of curioisity... how are you able to accomplish it for audio tracks? is there less information? is it due to the fact the cover arts file sizes are so much smaller then jpegs\ high resolution photos?

Can't you use categories more? One category for each Keyword, the categories for Albums, Ratings etc. Can't see how all the 400 000 files should show up at the same time then. I have not added my Images to MC14 yet, but I'm doing this with series today. It works great. Far from your numbers though... Might be usability limitations here that I have not thought of yet.

Optimized: Big improvements to Theater View performance. (for example, entering a ~500,000 album view: build 86: gave up after an hour; build 87: 12 seconds)
