wmv - can MC be more tolerant of errors?
« on: October 28, 2009, 09:32:19 pm »

Have a couple wmv files that play correctly with Windows Media Player, VLC, and BSPlayer (however the time slider does not work).

MC does not play the files (and they are not even displayed in the browser).

GSpot reports there are xx unneeded bytes at the end of the file, where xx equals the file size. So it appears something is corrupt in the wmv header.

Given that every other player on my system manages to play the files, I wonder if it would be possible for MC to be a little more tolerant of errrors?

P.S. I searched for a utility to fix wmv's without success. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
