I'm sure I'm missing something really simple but I've read the FAQ's and several threads concerning tagging and renaming and I still can't figure out the problem. 

Basically, I have a particular album with 10 songs on it and rather than the songs all appearing under the same album entry, there are 10 separate album entries for it.  I've tried mass changing the tags to ensure they were all the same.  I've even deleted and re-inputted the tags completely.  I have no idea what the problem is.  I'm accustomed to iTunes  Right Click --- Rename thing.  The JRiver rename feature doesn't appear to be working for me. 

Any help would be appreciated.

I think I might have fixed it. It was an album with guest artists and a "Varied" Album Artist field.  That seems to override the actual Artist field.
