Filenames on Handheld contain extra characters
« on: December 08, 2009, 05:01:57 am »

When I send files to my Creative ZEN from MediaCenter it appears some unique ID or numbering system gets added to the filename. Is there anyway to turn this off so that just the original filename appears in the folder format I have specified.

Thank you

I just tested with a Creative ZEN V (an MTP device), and it uses the same filename on the device as on my local system.  The path is different, respecting Options > Handheld, but the name part of the filename is the same.

Is it possible the filenames on your local system also have extra characters?
