Stacking with CD
« on: December 22, 2009, 09:13:44 pm »

Since the introduction of stacks I have been trying to stack my CD database with my main database. In the beginning every thing gets synced and I have no problems. But after some time the CD database loses it's link to the CD. So if I put a CD that's already in my CD database (which is stacked with my flac file) I get an unknow CD.

I'm guessing that whatever info the CD database has that links it to the actual CD gets overwritten. Is there a way to protect this info?

There is a setting for "Fix broken links" (in MC options) that will skip any files that are on removable media.  Try it.

Thanks JimH, this seems to fix the broken link to the CD.

Is there any other way to keep MC from breaking the link? I don't like to have this option turned on or any type of automation turned on.

Set it to "Yes (protect network files)".
