Firewire and 24/192 kHz transfer problems

I use firewire 800 for transfer of hi-rez files from PC to my Fireface 800 for D/A conversion. When playing 24/192 kHz files I get continuous drop-outs that is relatively seldom at 24/96 kHz and non-existing at 24/44.1 kHz.
Using e.g. Foobar instead of JRiver MC functions well without the drop-outs.

Anyone knowing the reason for this?
