M4A Only Plays Zone 1
« on: February 20, 2010, 04:41:56 pm »

I've got my default set to Zone 2 and it plays fine except for the m4a files which will only play on zone 1.  It says it's playing zone 2 but it's playing zone 1.

Is there a setting I need to change?

The wiki has info on playing m4a.  You may be using Quicktime to play it, but you should be able to play with DirectShow filters.

I am playing with direct show filters....at least that what my zone settings say.  Is there something else I have to do.

I was using Quicktime.  I've tried a few things and I can get the audio out of zone 2 but it sounds brutal.  Any suggestions as to what settings I should use for m4a?
