You can change the download path individually by selecting the downloading item, click Edit -> Properties, and select a save location for those files. There is already an option to close DM when download complete, under Settings -> Options -> General, select Close Download Manager in the drop down list.

I normally download in a single folder, import and then after analyzing replay gain and adding the cover art, I select the new files, and in property I rename the files using the tags (and this creates the artist/album folder with the rules I sue). It's not a single step but maybe it will help you a bit

Here is something you can do with RealJukebox and that i miss with
Media Jukebox

You can set folders and sub-folders
-let say artist\album

Set how you want to see the track
-let say artist\album
# song
name of the song

Click "apply to existing music'

set the location you want to apply this setting
-in this case C:\emusic

Click ok...et voila!!!

You get folder for each artist and sub folder for each album[Explorer folders-the yellow ones-]

If you want to burn cds or mp3 cds it is very helpfull

But you have to do it to others folders AFTER you tag,if not you will get unknow folders or unknow sub-folders

I still have RealJukebox ONLY for this fonction on my computer

Listening to: 'King Of Kings' from 'Flowers' by 'Echo And The Bunnymen' on Media Jukebox

Hi NY40Male

I'm doing all of it in MJ.

Files that you get from Emusic already have "clean tags", so after you download them do this:

import them in MJ
Select all the files ( I use the recently imported playlist for that)
right click-> properties
Then in the propertis screen select Tools->Rename Files From Properties

At this point it really depends on the schem you want to use:

I use Artist/Album directory structure, so I specify:

Base Path: G:\ (my external USB2 disk where I keep all the music)
Rule: ARTIST\ALBUM

For filename I use the rule Track#- Name ( I need to keep the name short for my portable)

Once you have this set up, if you press OK and then Save in the properties screen, you will get what you want

It's longer to explain that to do it. MJ remebers the scheme, so I do this in a couple of click for an unlimited # of files

Very easy..Just select a different scheme for filename:

Name if you just want the track name

or

Album - name

The pulldown has a few choices, but you can type in pretty much what you like

NY40Male,

I just discovered emusic today and love it.  I'm using claudio's method to rename the files and it works for me.  I was able to get rid of the track numbers by changing the Filename Rule from "TRACK# - NAME" to "NAME".  I also tested out "ATRIST - NAME" and it worked fine for me as well..

Don't know what's going on on you system. Works perfectly for me

What naming scheme do you use exactly ? and what do your get?

I would also double check where you are writing the files (the basedir ) and maybe try a different file... It happend to me many times, that I was trying things out using the same files and couldn't figure out why things were not working, only to discover that I was looking at the wrong folder with an old file in it

Glad it worked!

I use the same naming scheme for Compilations.

They normally end up in the Various Artist folder with the subfolder being the Album name. But some compilations also end un in folder like "Various Artist - Red Star Record" or similar. It depends on what they have in the tag. Since I do not have too many, I've never looked for a better solution.

I've seen threads in the forum discussin this problem, so there may be other solutions. Search the forum or open a new threads specifically for this to get people attention
