I've been happily using MC for quite a few years. I've built a new HTPC, and using a fresh MC14 and backup of my music files, not all my files import properly, as in the ones that don't seem not to have tag information. The really strange thing is it seems random. Some songs ripped from the same CD have info and ratings, and others do not. Any ideas? I tried searching for quite a while, but I didn't see anyone with the same type of problem. Thanks for a great product, I hope there is a simple cure for my problem. Literally thousands of tags and ratings would be lost, and would need to be rebuilt.

Thanks for the kind words.

On your old install, you can make sure the tags are complete, but selecting files, right clicking, selecting Library Tools, and choosing "Update Tags From Library".

If you don't have the old install, you could restore a backup of its library to the new install, and then do the above.
