I have a Sansa Fuze MP3 player that I use in my car.  I would like to transfer ratings made on the Fuze back to MC.  OK, that's straightforward enough, but there's a catch.

I have my library stored on a server that is in my basement.  My preferred approach to connect to that server using a client on my laptop, plug the Fuze into the laptop, and sync to the laptop.  That works to get the files into the Fuze, but doesn't get the ratings from the Fuze back to the server. 

Is there a way to make this work or do I need instead to plug the Fuze directly into my server and sync that way?  I can do that, it's just kind of a pain because the basement server is a headless machine in a fairly annoying-to-access location. 

I'm using MC15 if that matters.
