File conversion and external player.
« on: April 08, 2010, 04:29:43 pm »

im using an external player to play wav files from within mc. this works very nice, except that this also breaks the fileconversion from wav to ape (or any other format). im not sure why one influences the other, but it has been this way for a long time. now i use a mc14 install besides my 15, but i would like to do it all in just one installation. is there an other workaround? or a nice small program i can add to the "send to's" that could do the same?

Media Center should be able to play your WAV files.  It will use a DirectShow filter (try ffdshow) for compressed WAV files.

yes, i know. it does it great. but i send it to that other player because it has some features mc has not, and that i would also not expect mc to have. it loops parts of songs on the fly.
besides that i also get wav files from a recording program and i use mc to convert them to ape or mp3.

these two uses bite each other.  ;D
