While I've been a devoted user of RhinoBanga's "Playing Now" plugin for a long time, I'm interested in adding some more pizazz to how MC interacts with my desktop. (There was talk of Playing Now being folded into MC, but I'm not sure what happened with those plans.)
Since I use MC on my laptop and desktop computer, I often have it working in the background while I work or surf the web. And I love being able to call up a little notifier when I'm not sure what the current track is or to rate the current track so I can finesse my library. And while Theater View has some great full-screen eye-candy, sometimes it's too animated for my taste.
So I recently discovered a great little program called
CD Art Display. It does so much of what I'd like a plugin for MC to do. (And it stinks that it works with iTunes, MediaMonkey, Winamp and not my beloved MC!)
I put together a quick screencast (though it wouldn't record sound for some reason) that shows some of what it can do. Take a look here:
http://www.screentoaster.com/watch/stUEtVQUJKRFtYQV5cWltYV1VWSeveral folks over at the CAD site have
requested MC support but Carlos, the developer, has had other priorities with the development.
Now, he has an SDK over there, but to be honest I'm not a programmer. I can do some basic web coding, but Visual Basic and C++ etc. are beyond me at this point.
So, I'm asking if there's anybody out here who might be interested in developing MC support for CD Art Display. I think there are quite a few users here who would love to have it. I would be willing to help in any way that I could.
Thanks,
Brad
