I use my 1000 with MC and it works very well.  I don't remember what I used in the setup but, can check when I get home.

Going to get my self one of those. Only minus is the lack of mouse control. I don't understand why not more universal controllers have gyro control built in.

MrHaugen, works pretty good in Theater view.
I like my Gyration remote but, they can't seem to get thier stuff to work with ANY receiver.  Had Yamaha and it didn't work.  I now have a Denon and a Marantz and it won't work with either....

I'd like add that the main challenge in getting any remote to work with MC basically relates to the type of receiver you have. Preferably it should be an MCE v2 type receiver. V1 receivers will also work, but you have to tweak MC's configuration. (MC used to support USBUIIRT, but I beleive that's no longer the case)

As long as your IR receiver works with MC, then you should be ok.

Ok, Seems you set the device (computer) up as Media Center 12.
My IR receiver is not the problem I'm refering to.  It's receiver as in Amp that the gyration won't control.  Everything else is fine.

I use the Harmony 1 with MC via USBUIRT and it works great.

I cloned the MCE remote that came with an old DVICO TV card (Logitech recognised it after a couple of clicks) then prgorammed MC.

Support for USBUIRT is still there in MC and the functions it has works well but I think the focus is on seamless integration with MCE remote (probably rightly so).
