Can the buffering thresholds for the client/server configuration be edited?  MJ Server works great for 128k MP3's but I get buffering delays on 320k.  I think if I could either increase the buffer cache or pre-buffering parameters, it would be able to keep up.  Is there any undocumented parameters to the server?

There isn't any way to do this.  But you can make a second MJ library of files that are 128Kbps or less.

Under File/Library.  Make the new one, then import your old files, then convert them to 128Kpbs.  Make sure you don't delete the original file.  Try a few before you do them all.

Maybe. I've got cable at home and a shared T1 at the office, and find excessive buffering for anything much over 128. 128 is OK. So not sure if improving bandwidth takes care of all problems. 320s just don't work at all. Maybe with a T3.

Or a private T1.  You need roughly 500Kbps of nominal bandwidth to get 300Kpbs of real (more or less).  If you weren't sharing a T1, it would be more than enough (1500Kbps).

And either end can be a bottleneck.

I must be lucky. I don't have many buffering interruptions, even for 320 kbps files, unless my PC is busy doing something like replay gain analysis (then it's unbearable) or my server is trying to feed songs to more than one connection. DSLReports (http://www.dslreports.com) speed tests say my upload speed is about 360 kbps, I think.
