Library Server and podcasts
« on: April 29, 2010, 11:03:38 am »

Sitting here at work and was going to listen to a podcast.
On the home computer, the podcast has been downloaded so it's there on the hard drive.
On the remote client copy of MC, the podcasts all show in the list, but the "podcast status" field shows NOT IN FEED for all of the episodes.
Clicked on one of them for kicks and eventually got the "Media center failed to play the last few files...." error message.
Configuration issue on my part?
Wishlist for a future enhancement?

On the client, do you have better luck if you play the Podcast from a library view or playlist instead of using the Podcast view itself?

Same error message when accessing via a playlist.
Turned logging on, looks like it's a timeout issue.
You recently increased the timeout on library server which cured ability to connect to library server from work for me.
Looks like the 10 seconds get this podcast file started isn't long enough.
0029952: 1968: Reader: CInternetReader::Open: ConnectToURL failed, timed out (10000 ms)  ...etc etc shows filename
This particular podcast is about 90 minutes of audio in a single m4a file per episode.
