MC 15 problem with EMU 0404
« on: May 01, 2010, 07:36:10 pm »

Hi there,

I'm an avid music fan, and I am currently trying out MC 15. I really like the sound quality and the library organisation.
Whats annoing though is that when using WASAPI MC 15 recently hung up and couldn't be closed.
I tried killing the process,  but even with a windows root console (NT AUTHORITY \SYSTEM)
the application stays hung-up (idle, background process) until the next reboot.
I use Windows 7 x64 and have a EMU 0404 USB card. Gapless playback. I can provide a dxdiag etc. if wanted.
I'll tell you if it happens more.

Regards,
Matthias Hutter

There have been a couple of these recently.  I think it's the EMU driver.  There is a fix, but I don't remember.  Try a search here.

Today it played fine with WASAPI for a few songs, but after I changed to ASIO with large hardware buffer disabled (the "fix"), it hung again.

Update: MC15 plays fine ... unless I press stop. then it always hangs.

Try changing settings:

Try a search for EMU.  You'll find a couple of threads.  Here's one:

Please switch to one of those threads.
