Problems saving new file properties
« on: June 26, 2002, 04:14:11 am »

Dear all - this one has been posted before by me but never satisfactorily resolved. If I attempt to save new properties like change the genre on 50 or so files at once, MJ just crashes and I get that delightful invitation to send an error report to Mr Gates. I have reinstalled a few times and have a high spec system, XP etc. Is it me or am I demanding too much from MJ? Has anybody else experienced this? I have around 10,000 mp3 files so this function is regularly required.

I've run into this frequently in IE6, not in MJ. In my case, a possible program conflict between IE and Pop-Up Stopper. However, I think there were some issues with the Properties>Save function several builds back. What version are you running?

As other have said there was a problem sometime ago, so first thing is make sure you have the latest build available here on Interact. In general, this is caused by some specific problem in a file. Try to narrow it down to which file cuase the trouble and then send it to somebody at J river to take a look
