Hi,
is it possible to separate stereo outputs on media center? i have usb ESI gigaport HD (8ch) soundcard. I have 8 independent Zones and  need at least 8  mono outputs. When i Convert the 1st Zone output via DSP (ouput mono) effect i get sound from the 1st zone with asio channel routed to '0' (Left channel). But when i try to play the second zone  (also converted to ouput mono via DSP )with asio routed to '1' (right channel) i always get an error message stating:
"Playback could not be started on the output 'ASIO' using format '44100 Hz, 32 Bits Per Sample, 2 Channels" etc.

Any help is appreciated.

Yes, i am talking about the Zones.

I want to route asio outputs like:
Soundcard ch1&2 (1 stereo channel) : Asio Route '0' (Zone 1)
                                                    Asio Route '1' (Zone 2)
Soundcard ch3&4 (1 stereo channel) : Asio Route '2' (Zone 3)
                                                    Asio Route '3' (Zone 4)
Soundcard ch5&6 (1 stereo channel) : Asio Route '4' (Zone 5)
                                                    Asio Route '5' (Zone 6)
Soundcard ch7&8 (1 stereo channel) : Asio Route '6' (Zone 7)
                                                    Asio Route '7' (Zone 8)

Is that Possible?
As i said, i can not get it to work.

Did you read Listener's post in the link?

In MC, go to Player/Playback Options/Zone Manager.

 Gigaport HD usb soundcard has some kind of strange behavior with media center. with ableton i can route mono channels quite easy. But media center has problems with this card or vice versa.
I have also another card "presonus audio box usb" which works good with routing mono asio outputs.  unfortunately it has only 1 stereo channel which gives me only 2 mono outputs. i bought the gigaport hd card, because i was thinking it will also work with media center software. now i am stuck to 4 stereo channels only :(
during the trial period i was really planning to buy this software but now i have a problem that needs to be solved.
is there anyone who can help and had same issues with the same card or other soundcards?
