Media center chrashing
« on: May 22, 2010, 01:54:42 am »

My media  center is crashing after setting op the tv signal. Choosing "antenna" as soon as MC is going to search for channels WMC crashes and is restarting (and can't connect to the tv card because its in use). cable and satellite are working, but thats not the tv connection I have....

Can get a connection trough the card by using WinTv. But can control the top-box there.

Pc: Windows 7
TV-card: Hauppauge WinTV HVR-1200 (Model 71xxx, hybrid DVB-T)

Please help.

I looked at these cards a while back but was put off because it seemed like MS Media Center was a system requirement (unless you use the native WinTV). More here: http://www.hauppauge.co.uk/site/products/data_hvr1200mckit.html. I could be wrong but this might be the cause for the crash.

The JRiver devs will no doubt have more to say as to whether your card is supported or not.

You might see if there is a newer driver for the card.
