This one is it, we think.  It's as clean as humans in Minnesota can make it.  Unless we find something ugly, it will go on our downloads page tomorrow as the first (and hopefully last) maintenance release of 8.0.

Speak now or forever hold your peace.

I have been noticing something over the past few builds: sometimes the buffering stage takes longer than it should (say, maybe 3 or 4 seconds as opposed to instantaneously). At first, I thought this was a bug with my plugin as my collection is 90% MPC files, but I've noticed it happen with MP3 files as well. I've never been able to reproduce it reliably, as it just seems to happen out of nowhere.

If the buffering is getting choked somewhere, this could also be what's causing Xstatic's clicks. Thinking back, it started around build 293.

Click 'Burn CD' button on toolbar. OK on pop-up window. Check towards bottom of screen and see if 'Number of Copies' is buried.

MEDIA JUKEBOX caused a general protection fault
in module GDI.EXE at 0001:000093d5.

Sending a playlist to the burner gave me error message and shutdown.

I've had this problem with 305 and 309. When I first start MJ after a reboot I get no folders showing for my hard drives in the "file Location" part of the tree. If I close MJ then reopen the folders show.

KingSparta,

Have all the latest drivers and updates. Seems to do this after a new download quite a bit. But, I usually shutdown MJ after the automatic start-up launches it when done downloading.

As for the skins, I think it is just the above mentioned anomoly. To late to dink around with it tonight. After I get home tomorrow I'll see if I can make it cry uncle. Now that I think about it, it has done this with almost every build I've downloaded. Re-boot may be the ticket.

Same as Machinehead. Not always reproduceable, but after installation is complete, will frequently get a general protection fault/GDI error message. Problem disappears when I reboot. Not always associated with the same set of commands - sometimes when burning, or sending a playlist to the burner, other times when checking settings or plug-ins, etc.

There's still an issue with Pause/Play in the .300's.  The symptoms are that sometimes the pause command is ignored (doesn't seem to matter whether it's MM keyboard pause or not).  In other words, the pause command is ignore (does not toggle play status).  Subsequent pause commands work as normal.

I've had trouble reproducing it, but still notice it from time to time.

I mentioned this for a prior build and its still there in 309.

MEDIA JUKEBOX caused an invalid page fault in
module IN_MP3.DLL at 017f:03a5221f.

How to trigger it.  Play a track and click next track.  Move forward in the track with ctl-right then try and ctl-left past the start of the currently playing track.  Not a big thing but it should either just stop at the start of the current track or rewind into the end of the previous track.

Restarted MJ without having to reboot!!  The fast forward works fine, it goes to the next track and loops around to the start of the playlist on the last track.

Hi - it's getting better but still not quite there. Follow the same process as before but I end up with 1 file properties window (with the track selected the second time) but MJ crashes and burns.

Interesting issue, don't know if it's a bug or not...  I have some very large ASF video files that I'm trying to play.  The files are 120-140MB in size.  When I d-click on the files in Explorer MJ will play about the first 3 seconds and then locks up.  If I drag the files to the Playing Now window and try to play that way, MJ just buffers and then locks up.  One interesting thing is that there is a little red note next to the asf file in Playing Now versus an MPEG movie that has the little speaker icon.
