MC15 to DVD
« on: June 05, 2010, 07:34:59 am »

Hi Guys,

Just hooked my MC15 HTPC to my amp via TOSLINK and used your DSP Studio to output to 5.1 with effects (Arena and virtual Sub). Absolutely fan bl**dy fantastic  :o.

OK, now to my question. Is it possible to output the file to 6 wav files (L,C,R,RL,RR and LFE) so I can burn a 5.1 version onto DVD so I can listen in the car.

I can create and burn the disk with Nero but need a way to output the audio to wav files rather than to my amp.

Is this possible and if so will all the effects and EQ still be there.

Thanks,

John

You can use Disk Writer (Options > Audio > Output mode > Disk Writer) to direct the audio output to a WAV file on disk instead of a soundcard.

For video, television, etc. playback, it will operate real-time.  For audio-only playback, it will operate as fast as your computer can go.

Also, make sure you get the latest version because the Disk Writer recently got faster.

Yes.  Disk Writer outputs the exact same thing that would have gone to the soundcard.
