I posted the following in the now locked .49 topic, and added some new observations at the end.
I created a by Genre sort under sort options in album view. When using the option it does not sort correctly. MC makes a meager effort, meaning, it takes a few albums (10-20 or so) and sorts them alphabetically by genre (as specified). Unfortunately it takes only one or a few from some of the genres, and then starts over again with another small batch.
Example: 25 genres and 2000 cds. The first few albums might be
2 Alternative Rock
1 Baroque
7 Classical
3 Folk
2 Jazz
2 Modern
4 Rock
That leaves about 1980 cds, Another group follows similar to the above and so on. -Chris
The above holds, but I've determined a pattern. The sort works as follows. It sorts all the albums with the least amount of tracks first, (say 2 track albums) then 3 track albums, 4 track, etc. until it gets to its final destination. Odd, not very useful, and probably not the way it was meant to work.
