My view format is different from MC14
« on: June 12, 2010, 09:23:36 pm »

For some reason when I went to MC15, my view format is totally different from MC14.
Is there a file that I can bring over so my view is the same in 15 as it is in 14.

The view drop down is very different and I don't see the option 14 has for View.
In 15, a lot of the information is not being picked up so the format is way off.

Try restoring an MC14 backup, and read carefully when you do.  You can import MC14 settings into MC15.

I guess Jim meant the text in the restore window. I.e. read what it says instead of just clicking OK.

The process is simple:

- In MC14: Create a library backup file. (File > Library > Back Up Library...)
- In MC15: Restore the created file. (File > Library > Restore Library...)

Optionally you can set MC15 to restore the user settings from an MC14 library backup file.

The restore process can import most of your customization, but MC15 may contain some fundamental changes that may prevent from restoring everything exactly as it was in MC14.

Thanks Alex, using the restore from 14 to 15 worked just perfectly.
I don't know why these things happen.  It seems that it should be
reading the previous release and bringing all the layouts over.

Thanks again,  Skylar
