Hello Everyone, my name's Pablo, and I have been using MC 14 for the last month. I´m very pleased with it, amazed by its settings and funtionality.
I had some issues trying to play the above mentioned files, and upon searching I found some members having the same issues.
Altough playing DTS and WAV file was easily solved, wavpack was a bit hard.
After installing and uninstalling the codecs several times I was able to do it. I couldn't even play wavpack with the provided MC wv plugin from sourceforge.
PS: Although this problem might have been solved already, I thought it would be helpful to have a graphic view to the settings, and mention a few things were left behind in the other posts.
So what did I do?
I uninstalled ffdshow and other codec pack i had installed (leaving only ac3 file and ac3 filter)
I run ccleaner twice and rebooted my laptop.
Then I proceded to install ffdshow tryouts (an updated version of ffdshow) and twicked the settings following some instructions here.
Now I have everything up and running.
So here are the settings:
For FFDSHOW TRYOUTS (I guess they could work with ffdshow)
under codecs
DTS make sure you select libdts
Wavpack select libavcodec
ac3is set to liba52
Uncompressed set to all supported
*I had enabled WMA 7 8 and 9, but I just checked and doesn't make any difference.
NOW in MC go to tools, options and file type.
For DTSReproduction method: J river sound engine (with ffdshow filter)
filter source: AC3 File
Other filters: ffdshow audio decoder; AC3 Filter
For WavpackReproduction method: J river sound engine (with ffdshow filter)
filter source: AC3 File
Other filters: ffdshow audio decoder; wavpack audio decoder
For WavReproduction method: J river sound engine (with ffdshow filter)
filter source: AC3 File
Other filters: ffdshow audio decoder; J river bitrate monitor filter.
Here are some pictures of the settings, and MC playing the Files.
