hi

using mc 15.0.58

I am able to use the preview mode when playing audio files using MC, but when i shut it down and start it up later, it goes back to playing the whole song. I'd like to have it start in Preview Mode every time it starts.
Is this possible? i wasn't able to find specifics on this. Trying to prevent the kids from playing music all day. i just want them to sample only so they can sync to mp3 players

I don't think so. Preview Mode only works when there is something in Playing Now. On startup, of course, there's nothing. Besides, it's turned off when playback stops, not just when the program ends. Would your kids respond if you provided a keyboard shortcut for activating Preview Mode, and asked them to use that when screening items to sync?
