"Smart" presets for thumbnails view
« on: June 28, 2010, 05:47:10 am »

It would be very convenient to have zooming presets for thumbnails view. Currently I need to guess how to drag the zoom scroll until my screen shows 2/3/... photos at row. JR should have buttons along with zoom scrollbar to apply such zooming in one click.

+1.

There could be arrows at the ends of the slider that mean "one less" and "one more" in a row.

But that's not the only issue. It's currently impossible to scroll with the scrollbar or mouse wheel so the top row (including it's caption) is fully visible. It would be nice if doing so would result in the next not-fully-visible row of images "snapping" to the top of the viewing window. I can't think of any purpose for the current continuous scrolling behaviour.

Something similar to the desired behaviour is possible by selecting an image and using the arrow keys to "scroll." Because this changes the image selection, the selected image is kept fully in view as the images are scrolled.
