Hi all,

I have two machines, study and lounge. lounge is hooked up to my hifi and I use dlna (plugplayer an an itouch) to select and play music. I do most of my library work in the study and I have then been exporting / importing from the study to the lounge to get new database / new views etc. I import with settings enabled.

What I have found is that all the dlna settings are imported which is fine. However the two dlna servers/renderers now clash. You can fix the server by changing the name from study to lounge and restarting. However I could not get the renderer to stop clashing. Plugplayer just flicks between them in the device window.

I had to uninstall / clear all registry entries and reinstall to fix the renderers.

Strange, MC must be holding something in the registry to uniquely identify the renderers. This should not get take across as part of the settings.

I can't simulate the situation here (I don't have an iTouch & Plugplayer), but as a workaround, once you have the options correctly set and DLNA working on both PCs I think it should be enough to restore only the library. The views and playlists are included in the library backup. You don't need to always restore the settings.

Hi Alex, What about custom library fields. I guess they are in the library backup?
