My Media Center expired, why can't I use MJ 8?
« on: April 15, 2003, 06:44:40 am »

As the topic says, my MC9 expired, so I tried installing MJ8, but everytime I try installing, it crashes the second time I start it.

I've tryed several different ways to unistall MC, but it's impossible to get rid of all that junk I guess you guys must have put in my registry. I get this error window that isn't even complete. All I can see is the red ball/white cross error icon, and some text saying "member not found".

I'd like to keep using MJ, because it seems to be a nice way to organize my music, but if it's supposed to be this way, it's no better than (godforbid) RealOne...

On this page:
www.mediajukebox.com/license

you can find some info on switching between versions.

Make sure you're using a current copy of either program.

Thanks, but that didn't help...

All it says is how to backup data before switching versions. All I want is to get rid of everything installed by MC9 at all, without having to install windows all over again.

Someone should make a 'destroyer' program for MC/MJ, are there no ways to fix this?

Get a current version of MC 9 from this page:

www.mediajukebox.com/mc

Install.

Uninstall and remove registry.

Reboot.
