I purchased a license for MP3 encoder and saw that it successfully installed.
Each time I try converting m4a files (which is my entire iTunes library I imported to JRiver Media Jukebox) to mp3s, however, it fails.
What am I doing wrong?

Welcome to the forum.  Thanks for your purchase.  You can install DCBass (a DirectShow filter) to read the files.  Here's a place to start:
