Stop MC from capturing media button presses?

I'm wondering how I might go about stopping MC from capturing my media key presses on my keyboard and remote.  On my htpc I only use MC as a DLNA renderer for music and have it running in media server mode on startup.  I use other programs on the htpc for other media purposes.  Problem is with MC running some of my media buttons like Play and Stop are being captured by MC which is in the background and my main foreground app never gets the input.  Is there a way to stop this?

Try MC Options for General/Advanced/Media Key Mode.  I think that will do it.

Thanks, you are right.  I looked everywhere in the options but must have over looked it.
