CD player jitters and Stalls

When I try to play a music cd with MJukebox, the CD stutters, skips, and stalls.  CD's play fine on MusicMatch and windows media player.  Have uninstalled and reinstalled with no change.  Any ideas?  Thanks!

margman,

1) Are you using Digital playback in MJ? To check to to Tools -> Options -> Device Settings and make sure that "Use digital playback" is checked.

2) Try changing Output mode in Playback options (start with Direct Sound). Click on Settings button and move buffering slider to more skip resistant.
