I wasn't able to figure out how to rip a CD to plain old MP3 in the unsupported version. So I purchased the full copy of 8.0. After several hours of looping through help files and crashes I am still no closer to converting an audio CD to MP3. The best I've done is get to .mpc ... also the help files for the media editor are not clear enough for me to understand how to cut a few seconds out of the middle of a file. ... is there anywhere I can find some better documentation?

Settings, Options, Encoding

Under Encoder Select "MP3 Encoder VBR" Or "MP3 Encoder", Set Quality.

[X] Delete Temp Wave

[X] Rip And Encode

[OK]

Insert Audio CD

Click On Tree CD, DVD, And Handhelds And Or Select "Rip CD", Click On "Copy"

It Should Encode....

Media Editor Cut

Load Up The File, Take Your Mouse Place It In The Center Of The Two Wave Forms, Press Your Mouse Button, Then Drag To The Right (Or Left), Let Go Of The Mouse Button


Click on "Edit" Then "Cut" Or Click On The "Cut" Icon
