detached display request
« on: September 22, 2010, 11:23:56 am »

I usually detach the video display and put it at the bottom right of my screen, but what i do not like is how it has the bar at the top that says "Display and the maximize, minimize, and close" buttons are always there. can it fade out so the entire display is only the video and when i mouse over the display they fade back in like when on full screen?
also, can there be a channel up and down buttons on mouse over also?

I'd like something like this too.

Personally I'd prefer it was built into Display View instead of a detached display.

would better support for detached display/visualizations make it easier to support multiple monitors and virtual desktop layouts?

i was hoping noone would ask... it has been in the third party forum for so long, but i cleaned up the site where they download from. here was the skin: http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=49029.msg336910#msg336910 ill have to search if i have one copy somewhere... but on the other hand, you are using noire mostly? it was not much work to do it, so i could make a noire version...

I also had a skin that does exactly this that I used on our video wall at work at one time, but I haven't updated it in a long time (it was early in the MC14 builds).  Unfortunately, the hacky way I did it made NONE of MC's windows have the window control buttons, so it wasn't really useful except in special circumstances.

Coming in build 118 and later:
NEW: Detached Display has a right-click option 'Hide Borders'.
