MC Crashing when playing YouTube movies
« on: September 23, 2010, 05:59:51 am »

When I try to play a YouTube movie on my HTPC inside the MC15.0.113 player then MC crashes. Play YT movies on the webpage itself works fine. Do I need a special configuration for the MC player?

Do you mean video files that you have downloaded from YouTube and saved to a local drive? What program did you use and what is the resulting file format?

no, when I open (in Theater View) the YouTube option and then from there I open a movie then it was crashing. I will install the latest version first next week to see if I still have this issue. I will let you know my findings with the newest version once tested

I have installed the newest drivers (ATI) for my X1650 graphic card but this unfortunately did not solve the problem. I will try to do some more investigation later this week and I hope I will be able to identify the cause of this issue

There are some known issues with YouTube inside Theater View which are being worked on by the devs. This could be related to your issue but you shouldn't be seeing crashes all the time. Also try updating your version of flash player (MC might do this auto-magically though).
