Recover accidentally deleted playlist?
« on: October 19, 2010, 07:12:22 pm »

this is super important, I spent hours making this playlist to make a 4-disc mix for my sister. ordering them all in a way that flowed nicely... you know the deal. well, I right-clicked on another playlist to delete it, but (and this is not at all my fault) it deleted the wrong one! I couldn't "undo". I am looking through the AppData and have found some files and backup data, trying to find a way to recover this playlist. is there any way? what file should I be looking for? please help!

Try restoring a backup.  File/Library/Restore.  You might make a backup first.

aha! victory! to anyone wondering, this is all you have to do:

1. Close Media Jukebox (this is why I resorted to making thread, I'd tried the next steps but hadn't closed the program first)
2. Go to User>AppData>Roaming>J River>Media Jukebox 12>Library Backups
3. Open the .zip file of whichever date you're looking to recover the file from.
4. Select "playlistx.jmd" and extract to User>AppData>Roaming>J River>Media Jukebox 12>Library (you may want to copy the existing "playlistx.jmd" file first)
5. Open Media Jukebox
6. Breathe a sigh of relief

Thanks for your (attempted :P) help. That would have worked too, but this way I'm only going back in time 2 days for my playlists. I'm sure I've done lots of stuff in the past 2 days to the rest of my library that I wouldn't want to lose.
