Thanks to the longer timeout, MC is now able to do DLNA against a Qnap TS119.
This is a small and therefore slow NAS.
Reading the library takes considerable time.
As always when progress is slow and one is looking at a wait cursor, one starts to wonder. Is the app running or hanging?
Some kind of progress indicator would be convenient.
The most beautiful one is the way WMP does it.
Each item is added to the screen the moment it comes available.
You see it grow on the screen.
This is one of the (few) strong points of WMP, each change is reflected immediately everywhere in the interface.
But a simple progress indicator might do the job too.
