importing files ripped in dbpoweramp into J River music library
« on: October 31, 2010, 07:04:14 pm »

I need to know the precise steps by which I can import a file ripped in dbpoweramp into my J River music library, so that the new files show up and are playable in the JRiver music listing.

When I tried using the import function, I found that J River failed to import the files I wanted but rather somewhere came up with a hundred or so new files of junk that I did not want.  It must have gone to the internet and picked these files up.  They were written into the music library and completely messed up my carefully constructed library.  1) What happened? 2) How can I avoid this in the future? Exactly what steps need I take?

Thanks.

The hundred files were on your disc.  Take a look at the location of any to see where they came from.

Are the files from DBPoweramp all FLAC files?

What build of MC are you using?  MC 15.0.142 is at the top of this board.

Ripping with MC might be simpler.
