I am in the process of eliminating some user defined fields created long ago as there are now equivalent standard fields such as composer, conductor, orchestra etc. and move the information to those predefined fields.

During this process I noticed that there are user defined fields such as bios and country that are used by MC15 as well (for artist bios and movies). As far as I remember I created those fields myself, but they are used by MC15 as well. What would happen if those fields were not there?

Strictly speaking: Does MC15 create some user defined fields of its own?

I also notice that a field like instrument is not a list-field! Well, there are very few single instrument music pieces. The vast majority uses more than one instrument! Strangely though the field soloist is defined correctly as list-field. What about fields such as choir, opus and movement for classical music?

Also: could the field period be expanded so it can also be used for images. In Fine Arts this term is also used. Remenber Picasso's blue and rose period!

The program creates missing stock fields each time it loads a library.

There is a special case where tempo, mood, situation, bios, and preference can get created as user fields if an old MusicMatch tagged file is imported.

It's probably reaching a point where we could remove special MusicMatch handling.
