MC has a set of language related settings under Options -> Video -> General Video Settings, including the default audio language and the subtitle language and mode.  Unfortunately, these don't seem to work with Haali's splitter, so they don't apply to MKV and MP4 videos, which are probably the most common video types you'd use in MC (other than DVD) that would have multiple audio tracks and subtitle streams.

As I explained over here, there is a way to set Haali's options to handle this properly.  It would be nice if MC auto-set those options for you when you enable the proper language settings.

Just something for the to-do list when you have time.
