Seeing which albums are in the library
« on: November 19, 2010, 12:18:33 pm »

When browsing music by location (via drives & devices), is it possible to see at a glance which albums are in the library and which aren't ? I know that it is possible to select the option "show only files in library", though selecting and then unselecting this takes some time and it can be confusing.

Thanks!

The Alexicons will do the trick:

EDIT

A short version: Add the "Image (small icon)" column to the view in Drives & Devices. The unimported files will have a gold colored icon.

This works also in Playing Now. You can set MC to not automatically import the played files: Options General > Importing & Tagging > Automatically import files when played (untick). Then you can play files without importing simply by dragging and dropping them into Playing Now and also see the import status. If you want import the unimported files you have in Playing Now you can use "right-click > Import" or drag & drop the files from PN into the library area in the tree.

That is perfect, thanks !   :)

Though I guess there's no way to see from the folder tree, instead of having to click on the folder and look at the files ?
