HELP PLEASE: I want to move my Track Images to a new Disk
« on: June 15, 2002, 12:32:37 pm »

Can anyone help: I want to move my track images to a new location
Is there a quick way to change the data held in the MJ8 database, eg. change "J:\media_jukebox_images\*.*" to "K:\media_jukebox_images\*.*"

There are over 1200 albums/images to edit if there isn't a shortcut - else I could always give in and leave the images where they where!

Any (relevant!) suggestions gratefully received

Peter,

If your track images are not stored into the mp3 files the links should be stored
in the C:\Program Files\J River\Mediajukebox\data\mediafile.jmd file.

First take a copy of your original .jmd file in case of ... then open it with
UltraEdit 32 Text Editor (Hex mode toggled ON) and use the Text Replacement function to replace all occurences of "J:\media_jukebox_images\*.*" with "K:\media_jukebox_images\*.*", and don't forget to save your modified .jmd file
before leaving UltraEdit 32.

Hope it helps,

Yves.

And remind us to make "find and replace" work for every database field in the next version...
